You can also support us by volunteering. This is a great way to meet people, learn skills and give something back to the community. Get in touch!
We have an excellent track record with volunteers. Two have gone on to gain salaried employment at the centre with Place 2 Be, two now have paid employment in our administration, an ex-service user and an ex-volunteer went on to train as counsellors, and an ex-volunteer went on to set up her own training business as a result of the experience they gained with us.
We currently need the following volunteers:
- Qualified counsellors
- A volunteer to help us with our marketing campaign. This is wonderful experience for those wishing to gain experience in working with the local media, and with web design and maintance.
- Someone with graphic design/art skills to help us put together our 'House Style'
- Events organisers and cake bakers, tin rattlers, runners, envelope packers etc!
- Volunteers with successful bid writing experience.
- Trustees, particularly if you have a background in law, HR, counselling, children's services or mental health services, or with marketing/business skills.
