Further Children's Services

We are continuing to develop and expand our work in providing therapeutic support to children and young people.
As well as providing one-to one counselling for children in schools and at the centre, and invaluable liaison support for teaching staff, we now run adolescent group work developed following a response to a crisis which highlighted the clear need and demand for such support.
In addition to the growing therapeutic work in schools, the centre also offers a selection of workshops and training courses related to children's emotional well-being, designed for teachers, other professionals, and support staff, as well as short courses for parents.
With its blend of theory with experiential exercises, the training workshop for Teaching Assistants: 'What do I bring to school with me?' raising awareness of children's emotional well-being, was received extremely positively recently at a local secondary school and 'centre of training excellence'.
In response to evident demand from professionals working in a helping or supportive capacity or simply interested in developing active listening skills, the centre is continually developing new programs to meet the need of services in our community.
